Butter fish is actually black cod. The miso makes it melt in your mouth.

Instructions

    Mix miso, mirin, sake, and sugar.

    Marinate fish for at least 2 hours or overnight.

    Wipe off excess marinade.

    Tip: Too much will burn.

    Broil until caramelized and fish flakes, about 10 minutes.
